This is a personal favorite of mine. I am going to say it like it is, I am not a regular creamer. I will put cream on the kids, help my husband cream his back but when it comes to me, I forget. Which is why I created this specific blend which as a different texture from your typical body scrub.
I do not recommend using this scrub outside your bath. I mixed COARSE DEAD SEA SALT and FINE SEA SALT and it does not stick to your skin when applying. So, if you are intending to use this in a shower, it will leave quite a mess. Here is how I use it but please feel free to use it as you wish.
I start by turning on my bath water, yes this is going to end into a bath. When the water is about ankle deep, I step inside the bath. Take your body scrub jar and spoon to take the scrub. Please avoid adding water inside your jar, the water will cause bacteria to grow and no one wants that! For the best results, make sure you are scrubbing correctly.
HERE ARE SOME TIPS:
USE YOUR HANDS. No need to use a brush; your hands will do the best work.
Use the wooden spoon provided to scoop out the product, then apply the scrub to your body with your hands.
SCRUB TOWARD YOUR HEART. This is a spa secret, and the claim is that it is best for circulation. Start at your feet and massage the scrub in a circular motion up the legs and the torso. Continue at your fingertips and massage up the arm.
Scrub sorted, it is time to sit into the bath for a nice warm soak and to rinse off the body scrub. Repeat the massaging motions around your body, brushing off any excess exfoliating particles as you go.
You might feel oily but that is the point, I used APRICOT OIL in this mix because it is light and easily absorbed as it resembles the skin’s naturally produced oil sebum. Apricot oil helps to improve skin tone, maintain softness and radiance of the skin. It also nourishes the skin and lowers the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and blemishes because it naturally contains vitamin C and E.
I also added ROSE OIL because when applied directly to the skin, skin care products containing rose essential oil are purported to hydrate dry skin, clear acne, reduce signs of aging, minimize the appearance of scars, and help with conditions such as eczema and rosacea. Plus, it smells good! Talking about smelling good, not only are you going to be exfoliated and hydrated but you will smell great after using this body scrub!
Last but particularly important do not scrub every day. It is tempting to scrub daily since the results feel so good, but over-exfoliating can be harsh on your skin. I do it once a week.
Enjoy your bath!
